Have some adventure, but try not to fall.
I had one goal when I went to Alaska: stand in an ice cave. I found one. Of course, to get to it, I had to traverse frigid, churning waters. I did it. Carefully, but I did it. That is me. I crave adventure, but I have always feared the fall. Writing is my attempt at being brave, at hopping stone-to-stone knowing I may find myself cold and wet and humiliated. But in the end, I can say I did not allow fear to turn me away.
I live in central Arkansas with my husband, Shane, and our three children. I am a wife, mother, writer, and professor.
I hope this site will encourage you to stare into the face of your own troubled waters and take your first step toward adventures in writing, in reading, and in life.
